14th July - Annapoorna – The Great Meal

The Greatest Meal, a flagship project of the Rotary Club of Mumbai South Cuffe Parade spanning over two decades, was inaugurated by our very own Rtn Kumar Mehta on 14th July at Prabhu Seminary School. Children were served a nourishing meal along with a fruit, symbolically marking the beginning of a year-long commitment to providing one wholesome meal every day to 750 students of 10 BMC Schools. This project is a promise of care, nutrition and hope for hundreds of young lives. Sponsored by: Rtn Kumar Mehta Beneficiaries 750 students per day The project was attended by President Rtn Nargis Gaur, Rtn Kumar Mehta, Rtn PP Rajendra Agarwal, Rtn Bhushan Kadam, Rtn Navnath Panaskar, Rtn Satishchandra Maheshwari, Rtn PP Sonal Somaiya, Rtn Rabia Patel, Rtn Rajesh Dubey, and Rtn Nayan Shah Daily meals - 750 students daily of 10 BMC schools Project was covered in Free Press Journal, Dainik Bhaskar, Sakal, Navrashtra, Dharmayodha and Navbharat Newspapers. 11th July 2026 – Sapling Plantation Drive

11 July 2026 – Sapling Plantation Drive at Garden opposite Mehta International Eye Institute, Seaside, Colaba. Chief Guest: Rtn Ajit Dubey, Regal Principal Aide. Our Club came together for a meaningful Sapling Plantation Drive, planting not just saplings but hope for a greener tomorrow. The project was inaugurated by our Chief Guest, Rtn Ajit Dubey, whose presence made the occasion even more special. Nearly 22 Rotarians and prospective Rotarians participated, sharing a morning filled with fellowship, smiles, and service. A special thank you to Padma Shri Rtn Dr. Keiki Mehta for his warm hospitality and for making everyone feel so welcome. We also appreciated the participation of NMIMS students from the Corvic Foundation, represented by South Zone Student President Ms. Kisha, whose heartfelt tribute to her late grandfather, Rtn Nikunj Jhaveri, was truly inspiring. Members adopted saplings by placing personalised name tags on them, symboilizing their commitment to nurture them.

1st July – Food Grain Distribution Project

On 1st July, our Club distributed essential grain kits to 80 specially-abled residents of M.P. Mills Compound, Tardeo, at a project cost of ₹90,000. For many of the beneficiaries, stepping out to purchase groceries is a daily challenge, making this initiative far more than a distribution drive — it was a lifeline that brought essential supplies directly to their homes with dignity and care. The food kits were sponsored by Hickey and Makhija family Beneficiaries 240 Project cost Rs 90,000/-
